Senior Centers located throughout the ATRC region provide a central location for socialization, education, recreation and health promotion for seniors 60 years of age or older and their spouse regardless of their income. A variety of nutrition, health and education programs are offered at the centers. Social activities, field trips and exercise classes are also provided at many of the centers. In addition to a hot, nutritious noon meal on Monday through Friday at the senior center, home delivered meals are available for those seniors who are homebound. Space for these programs is limited and eligibility must be established prior to receiving services.
Transportation is provided by the AAA through contractors that assist eligible clients to and from senior centers, medical appointments, dialysis, pharmacies, grocery shopping and other locations that are essential to maintain their health and well being.
